5 min Hummus

I was so tired of buying hummus at the store when it's so easy to make at home and you can control what goes in it!! No more preservatives or ingredients I can't even pronounce. It took me about 5 min from start to finish give or take.

Ingredients:

2 - 15.5 oz cans Garbanzo Beans (aka chickpeas) (1 canned drained, 1 undrained)

1/4 Cup - Raw Sesame Seeds

1 Tablespoon - Sunflower or Toasted Sesame Oil

1/4 Cup - Lemon Juice

1/4 Cup - Water

1/2 Teaspoon - Garlic or 1 clove

1 Teaspoon - Ground Cumin

So lets get started!

Place all ingredients in the order listed into a blender or my personal favorite the Vitamix! I used a Ninja before I gave into the Vitamix and it works well also.

2 - 15.5 oz cans Garbanzo Beans (aka chickpeas) (1 canned drained, 1 undrained)

1/4 Cup - Raw Sesame Seeds

1 Tablespoon - Sunflower or Toasted Sesame Oil

1/4 Cup - Lemon Juice & 1/4 Cup - Water

1/2 Teaspoon - Garlic or 1 clove

1 Teaspoon - Ground Cumin

Place all ingredients in the order listed into a blender

Next, select "purée"or start blending from a low speed increasing to a higher speed until desired consistency.

Select "purée" or start blending from a low speed increasing to a higher speed.

Watch the magic happen.

Transfer into a container and enjoy!! (Refrigerate leftovers & use within one week.)

You can also use dry beans but I was in a hurry and did not prep them.

Until next time..
