Homemade Pear Sauce

So... during the past few days I have been visiting my bestie Silvia. We use to live in Cali about 5 min apart and luck has it both of us are in Illinois now 3 hours apart. Super excited to be reunited!!

Anyways, today we made some homemade Pear Sauce. Check out Silvia's applesauce here on her blog. The whole process was super easy!!

Ingredients:

8 medium size pears
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 cup water
sugar (amount is your personal preference)
cinnamon (amount is your personal preference)

Prep:

Peel pears and cut into cubes.

Place in a large pot, cover with water and bring to a boil.

Reduce to simmer and cover for 20-30 min or until soft, stirring often.

Add lemon juice, sugar and cinnamon.

Bring back to a boil then reduce heat to simmer. Simmer uncovered for another 10 min or so.

Add pears and 1 cup water from the pot to blender. We used just under 1 cup.

Pulse until desired consistency.

Spoon out equally into mason jars, tap on counter to bring any trapped air to the to. Leave about half inch space from the top. Let cool then store in refrigerator.

Use within 5 days. Enjoy!!
